Firm is an understatement, May 16, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Dream On Me Orthopedic Firm Foam Crib and Toddler Bed Mattress, 100% Bedbug Free (Baby Product) I realize that this is an "ultra firm" mattress, but sleeping on the floor would be more comfortable. If you are looking for something that has zero give to it when your baby lies down, this is your mattress. However, if you are looking for something that is firm, but is still comfortable for your baby, this is not it. I can hear my son tossing and turning trying to get comfortable on this mattress. It is too much of a pain to return, so I am going to by a foam topper to make it more comfortable for him.

I wanted something FIRM, like the floor, so that he would sleep on it. This is night 3 we've had it and he is sleeping peacefully!!! There is NO GIVE to this mattress.... it honestly feels like the floor. He loves it and is very comfortable.

It's not as hard as the floor, but it is nice and firm - perfect for a baby. For us, it gives us some peace of mind that our baby will not sink into the mattress and suffocate.
The mattress arrived fast and in perfect condition.
